Welcome to my latest outfit post. I created this post to show off another one of my new pairs of sneakers - I am really loving the sneakers trend because it means I can be comfortable all the time. However once I started putting this ensemble together I also started thinking about writing about how to keep your outfits interesting. One of the things I often get asked is how I can keep on coming up with new ideas all the time. Let me tell you how...
I based this outfit post around my sneakers. Which meant I decided to wear my Moschino Cheap & Chic Graphic Coat again to pick up the pink neoprene on my shoes. True this coat is last season, I wore it to MBFWA over a year ago, however I love that it is such a bold statement PLUS I always get someone commenting on it. Let's for a second imagine that I had in fact decided to start with my Moschino coat instead as the basis for this outfit.
I keep myself and my viewers interested by picking key hero pieces to base looks around. BOLD GRAPHIC ITEMS are really great because they mean that your outfits can never be boring. Not only have I matched the pink neoprene strips to my pink coat, I have balanced the whole outfit by also picking out the blue panels on my shoes too. My blue suede panels match my mostly blue By Johnny neoprene skirt and this is all helped along by the blue lenses in my sunglasses too. Matching the colours and shapes in an outfit means you can keep mixing and matching pieces from your wardrobe easily in order to keep creating new outfits. If you think like this when you go shopping you'll find you can pick a new wardrobe quickly and easily too. I've also picked the By Johnny pencil skirt on purpose to balance the cocoon silhouette of my coat.
Moving on to my chic picks so that my readers can have a go at BOLD GRAPHIC STATEMENT pieces too. The first piece I have picked is this ASOS Australia Relaxed Graphic Blazer because military green is in. You can also choose to pair it with the matching pants as well to take the guess work out of dressing. More on how to wear a Co-ordinate later.
The next piece I have picked is a monochrome jumpsuit because if you are a bit scared of making a statement, it's often easier to do if you keep the colour to a minimum. This Warehouse number is on sale and you can buy it HERE.
Finally I've chosen a great SANDRO Paris T-Shirt (which is also on SALE) that I loved when I saw it in David Jones. Pair this with a great pair of jeans and your set. Last but not least is a great statement full clutch by Diane Von Furstenberg. The lip graphic is too cute!
